Comparative Evaluation of Surface Roughness of Resin- Modified Glass Ionomer and Glass Hybrid Restorative Materials Simulated by Tooth Brushing: An in-Vitro Study
نویسندگان
چکیده
Objective: Tocompare the effect of tooth brushing on surface roughness Resin-Modified Glass Ionomer Cement (RMGIC; GC Gold label 2LC Light Cured Universal Restorative) and Hybrid (GH; EQUIA SYSTEM- Forte™ Fil Coat) restorative material at 1- 3-months interval simulated by brushing. Material Methods: RMGIC GH specimens (20 each) were prepared according to manufacturer instructions in 10mm × 2 mm dimensions using a mylar strip. A specially designed toothbrush simulator was used along with Oral B Pro 2000N powered Colgate Total dentifrice (Colgate-Palmolive India limited; Relative dentin abrasivity - RDA:70- Low abrasive) perform strokes. Specimens subjected analysis before after baseline, 1, 3 months. Results: The intragroup comparison done repeated-measures ANOVA. Intergroup comparisons an independent sample t-test General Linear Model (ANCOVA). Surface increased from baseline through months both groups. mean group significantly higher than 1 3-months, respectively (p<0.001, <0.001, <0.001). Interaction between not significant (p=0.466). estimated marginal means (p=0.008). Conclusion: month toothbrushing protocol. exhibited lower all tested intervals.

متن کاملComparative evaluation of antibacterial effect and compressive strength of resin-modified glass-ionomer containing different antibiotics
Background and Aims: Nowadays, new techniques are used to control dental caries that have the ability to kill cariogenic bacteria. Recently, the addition of antibiotics to glass ionomers has been proposed to reduce the overall number of saliva bacteria. The aim of this study was to compare the antimicrobial effect and compressive strength of resin- modified glass ionomer (RMGI) containing diffe...
